Search Icon To Search Field Animation Toggle

CSS Toggle Search is a type of search that will allow users to toggle between regular search and a style-specific search.

CSS Toggle Search is an easy way to find answers to some of the most difficult questions in your life such as “what are some of the best restaurants in Berlin?” or “what are the best places for breakfast in Paris?”

The CSS Toggle Search is a new feature added to Google and Bing websites. It can be found on the top right corner of Google.com or Bing.com, and it only takes one click to toggle between regular search and style-specific search.

We caught up with a useful sample code and we thought it well to share with you. No external javascript resource was used in this pen.

Search Icon To Search Field Animation

This is an animation that will help users to learn the difference between search icon and text fields.
In this example, we see a user entering their search term in a text field. The icon appears in the upper left corner of the screen and whenever it becomes visible, it changes from a small black square into a large white one.
The reason for such change is when the user enters into the field does not match any of the keywords that have been suggested by our algorithm.
This animation can be used by both website users as well as designers or developers who are building websites.
